NSW experienced record temperatures and some of the worst fire danger conditions ever recorded in January 2013, with fires resulting in more than 50 homes destroyed.
In conjunction with the NSW RFS, research was conducted in the Coonabarabran, Yass and Shoalhaven areas focused on how people prepared and made decisions during the fire.
